Envelope addressed to Mr. J.A. Pulley, Buffalo, Mo from Mrs. Mary M Botts, Joplin, MO Aug 23, 1945

Dear Brother,

I thought I would answer your letter this morning. Was so glad to hear that all of your folks was well. We are all just fine and I am planning on leaving for Chicago this eve to visit Emma. She can't get away to come down here this summer so she wanted me to come up there. I will only be gone a few days so just send my letter here. Why I thought you just wrote fine and anyone could read it. What is the matter with your eyes. Can't you get glasses to fit them? I wear glasses all the time now. I hope Margaretts folks get to come home now that the war is over. Roy is stationed at Camp Hood Texas and has been there since a year ago last May. So her and the 2 little ones are there with him and I have the oldest boy with me. He is 15 years old now. I had a letter from Mary Higgins and she said they thought Dewey would be home now inside of a few months. You didn't say if any of your boys was in the service or not. Well I hope you write to me again soon. And tell me all the news.

                                                                                                           I am as ever

                                                                                                       your Sister Maggie
