Mrs. Amanda Matilda (Pulley) Higgins 70 years old, died at the family home 529 West Ninth Street this morning July 13 at 1:30. Mrs. Higgins has resided in Newton the past 28 years. She leaves the following children: Dewey Higgins with the seabees Southwest Pacific, Alva and Albert twins, Mrs. Paul Fletcher of Newton, Joe and Noah of Wichita, Orlando of Twin Falls Idaho, John of Kingman, Kansas, also a sister Mary Botts of Joplin MO and brother, John Pulley of Buffalo, MO.
